From 23 to 25 October 2018, WETEX - Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition - took place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

At this year's 20th edition of WETEX, organized by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), the Swiss Pavilion more than doubled in space (to 102sqm) compared to the first years of participation in 2014 and we are confident about the future development. The trade fair is growing too: more than 35'000 visitors and 2100 exhibitors participated in 2018 in an exhibition area of around 70'000sqm (8 halls).

All Swiss Pavilion exhibitors were fully satisfied with the number of prospective contacts they met on-site and are optimistic about their return to the show next year. Also, the location close to the entrance of Hall 7 was beneficial in regard to visitor frequency. 

After 20 years of no participation in a trade show in Dubai, for instance, "KELLER AG für Druckmesstechnik" and their Middle Eastern partner "SWME Control Systems Trading" were positively surprised with the amount of interest and new contacts they have acquired during the show and are content about their participation in retrospect. 

WETEX 2018 provided an excellent opportunity for our co-exhibitors to get in front of locals from the Dubai region, as well as many international (India, Pakistan, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Iran) visitors, customers and decision-makers and showcase their high-quality and well-proven products.

A highlight of the week was the Swiss Evening organized by the Consulate General of Switzerland in Dubai at the residence of the Consul General H.E. Chris D. Watts on Tuesday, 23rd October in Al Barsha Heights. In a pleasant atmosphere, including a rich buffet in the back garden, our co-exhibitors were invited to discuss related topics and network with other present guests from the industry.
