From 21 to 23 October 2019, WETEX - Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition - took place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

WETEX is a leading global Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition, organized since 1999 by DEWA (Dubai Electricity & Water Authority), under the guidance of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and under the Patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance of the UAE and President of DEWA.

The Swiss Pavilion has maintained its area size of 102sqm as in the previous year. The trade fair has once again grown in regard to visitor (37'000) and exhibitor numbers (2'300), as well as in regard to the total exhibition floor space (85'000sqm).

The location in hall 5 was excellent and all Swiss Pavilion exhibitors were fully satisfied with the amount of local and international contacts they met on-site.

The highlight of the week was the combined visit of the Consulate General of Switzerland in Dubai led by the new Swiss Consul General HE Frank Eggmann and the delegation from DEWA led by Dr. Yousef Ebrahim Al Akraf (DEWA Business Support and Head of HR) on site on Monday, 21st October. After the ribbon cutting ceremony at the Swiss Pavilion, the guests and exhibitors engaged in lively discussions about the region and business related topics.
