Eco Expo Asia took place from Wednesday 30th October to Saturday 2nd November 2019 at the AsiaWorld-Expo venue in Hong Kong.
It was already the 14th edition of the annual exhibition, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd.
Due to the unstable political situation in Hong Kong during the time of the trade fair, the 4-day event attracted less exhibitors and visitors compared to its last edition. A total of 303 exhibitors (2018: 338), 10’616 trade visitors (2018: 14’824) and a floor space of 8’870m2 (2018: 9’600m2) were registered.
The expo featured 10 “thematic zones” to meet the latest market needs related to eco-friendly technology and materials. As every year, thanks to the efforts of the show organizers, the Joint Swiss-Austrian Pavilion had a great location in hall 3, next to the main entrance on the east side of the venue. The co-exhibiting companies presented solutions ranging from air quality management to water treatment, piping systems, shredders and waste collection solutions. Although the tense situation was noticeable, the Swiss and Austrian co-exhibitors were satisfied with the number of local and international contacts, as well as with the exhibition in general.
Many thanks to all co-exhibiting companies for participating in Hong Kong and to all supporters and Advantage Austria for their cooperation! A special thank you to the HE Karl Ernst, Austrian Consul General in Hong Kong and his delegation for their visit on site.
