International Trade Show for Environmental Equipment, Technologies and Services

POLLLUTEC celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2018 - step by step, the trade show has established itself as a true showcase of all the equipment, technologies and services for the environment and energy. It is a springboard for market innovations and a crossroads for international development opportunities to connect all those with a stake in the industry.

Showcasing innovation has been Pollutec's primary purpose since its creation. The innovations presented at the trade show cover all the latest developments in the environmental market, ranging from previews of technological and organizational solutions and industries that are emerging or undergoing a structuring process to emerging topics and new approaches that will be making the news in the future.

One general trend is a natural continuation of what has been seen at previous shows, namely the systematic search for higher added value uses for waste, biogas-bio-methane, metals or liquid effluents. This is also true for the ongoing effort to find higher performance or more diverse solutions for complex mixes (bio-waste, contaminated biomass, multi-material waste, mixed plastics). It is also the case for less environmentally aggressive treatment solutions and a desire to reduce the resources that are employed (energy, water, raw materials). In parallel with these technical goals, the other clear trend is a search for decentralized processes with systems that, without being mobile, are economical for low volumes and that make it possible to position them locally in support of a circular economy and a more favourable environmental balance. It is these multiple approaches that create the added value and economic and environment balances that are increasingly converging, helped now by ever more powerful digital tools and data.

Throughout the value chain, Pollutec facilitates encounters between experts in environmental matters and professionals in the public and private sectors from all over the world through dedicated events and networking tools.
