IFAT India took place from 16 to 18 October 2019 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Hall 1 in Mumbai.
This year 311 companies and represented brands took part as exhibitors at the seventh edition of IFAT India. There was a growth of 29 percent in visitor numbers resulting in 9’633 visitors. 97 percent were local visitors from India. The exhibition space grew from 11’000 sqm in 2018 to 14’500 sqm in 2019.
The fair is a good platform for local and international companies to meet industry experts and to do business in India. Especially this year’s exceptional increase in visitor numbers is a strong signal for India’s increasing interest in environmental technologies.
In 2019, the focus of the trade fair was on solutions for developing sustainable waste management and modernizing the environmental infrastructure.
The exhibiting companies at the Swiss Pavilion – IndStrat International Consultants LLP, KELLER AG für Druckmesstechnik/Yashtec, Key to Metals AG, Nanovis GmbH, SIDSA Environmental Pvt, STAG Schüttguttechnik/Saveeco Energy Pvt – were very content about their participation.
They liked the location close to the main entrance, as well as the number and quality of visitors. STAG and their Indian partner Saveeco Energy were very surprised and glad about the amount of interest in their products from local visitors and about the visit of some international experts (Germany) who are important for them.
Keller’s local partner Yashtec noticed that the show has definitely improved in regard to number and quality of contacts since 2017, when they last participated in IFAT India. The Automation Expo at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, which took place only 2 weeks prior, is currently their first-choice trade fair as it’s perfectly fitted for their products and instruments and has about 50’000 international visitors.
We wish you all a lot of success and would be pleased to welcome you again next year at the Swiss Pavilion in Mumbai for IFAT India 2020, from October 13-15, 2020 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre.
