WEFTEC 2023 brought together professionals from municipalities, engineering firms, manufacturers, environmental organizations and academia worldwide. The event served as a hub for knowledge sharing, exploration of cutting-edge technologies and fostering collaboration, aligning seamlessly with the Water Environment Federation's vision of a future free from water challenges.
In addition to the exhibition, we curated a special side program in collaboration with the Consulate General and Swiss Business Hub USA. On Sunday evening, October 1, the evening before the show began, Pascal Bornoz, Consul General of Switzerland, hosted a Swiss Reception at his residence. This warm and engaging gathering provided an excellent platform for Swiss exhibitors to network and set an enthusiastic tone for the days ahead.
On the opening day of the show, Consul General Pascal Bornoz and Deputy Consul General Jörg Oberschmied visited WEFTEC. Together, we conducted a Swiss Tour, showcasing all the Swiss companies exhibiting at the event. The tour concluded at the Swiss Pavilion with a reception featuring an Apéro, further fostering a spirit of collaboration and community.
The 96th edition of WEFTEC also featured unique attractions, including the Drones Pavilion and an inspiring Opening General Session (OGS), which celebrated the essence of water, people and community through music, storytelling and photography. Notably, WEFTEC 2023 marked the return to pre-pandemic participation levels for the first time since 2019, further highlighting its importance as a premier global platform for the water sector.
